{"id":745,"date":"2013-05-06T10:24:37","date_gmt":"2013-05-06T09:24:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cdblog.cdstealer.com\/?p=745"},"modified":"2017-01-29T09:27:19","modified_gmt":"2017-01-29T09:27:19","slug":"linzer-biscuits","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cdblog.cdstealer.com\/?p=745","title":{"rendered":"Linzer Biscuits"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Makes 16<br \/>\nPreparation time 35 minutes<br \/>\nCooking time 16 minutes<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><br \/>\n50 g (2 oz) hazelnuts<br \/>\n225 g (7 1\/2 oz) plain flour<br \/>\n75 g (3 oz) caster sugar<br \/>\n150 g (5 oz) Soy spread<br \/>\nFinely grated rind of 1\/2 lemon<br \/>\n1 egg yolk substitute<br \/>\n4 tablespoons seedless raspberry jam<br \/>\nsifted icing sugar, for dusting<\/p>\n<p><strong>Method:<\/strong><br \/>\nGrind the hazelnuts very finely in a blender or coffee<br \/>\ngrinder. Set aside.<\/p>\n<p>Put the flour and sugar in a mixing bowl or a food<br \/>\nprocessor. Add the Soy spread and rub in with your<br \/>\nfingertips or process until the mixture resembles fine<br \/>\nbreadcrumbs. Stir in the ground hazelnuts and lemon<br \/>\nrind, then mix in the egg yolk substitute and bring the mixture<br \/>\ntogether with your hands to form a firm dough.<\/p>\n<p>Knead lightly then roll out half of the dough on a<br \/>\nlightly floured surface until\u00a0 1\u00a0 cm (1\/2\u00a0 inch) thick. Stamp<br \/>\nout 5.5 cm (2 1\/4 inch) circles using a fluted round<br \/>\nbiscuit cutter.
